  GrandBackup Ultimate provides a friendly interface for easy backup of important files and folders. The copies can be compressed, encrypted and password-protected for users' peace of mind. Backups can be saved to any secure location that has been specified by the user. This may be a folder on the hard disk of a local computer or a laptop or any networked machine. When the specified time is reached, GrandBackup performs the backup task in the background automatically without any user interference.

GrandBackup offers many options to automate the launch of backup tasks. For example, Media SmartDetect technology implemented in the program allows starting an automatic backup on detecting an external disk. Other options include autorunning backups on file size/attribute change, folder contents change, file/folder renaming, and according to a schedule. This choice of options allows users to automate backup tasks in the way that suites their personal needs best. Among other features, GrandBackup Ultimate offers FTP support, folder synchronization, ZIP compression, and recovery of accidentally deleted files. Any number of files can be excluded from a backup task and several old versions of files and obsolete files can be kept in the backup or a separate archive folder.
